One of the biggest sporting events in Mountain Home makes its return. Eight American Legion baseball teams will gather at Cooper Park for the 38th-annual Mickey Huskey Twin Lakes Classic on Thursday.
The tournament will have a pool format for the first three days. On Sunday, the two pool winners and two wild card teams will compete for the tournament title.
The final game of the night will feature Mountain Home’s senior team. The Lockeroom is set to meet St. Peters, Mo. The first pitch at Lester White Field is scheduled for 7:30.
Mountain Home’s junior squad will compete in the second game of the day. MacLeod will face Bartlesville, Okla., at 3:15.
In Thursday’s other games, North Central Arkansas and Paragould get the action started at 1, and Fort Smith takes on Pontotoc, Miss., at 5:30.
