The Marion County Transfer Station is closed until further notice.According to Transfer Station Supervisor Andrew Stroud, the compactors have reached capacity. He states the company responsible for emptying the compactors are behind schedule.
The Transfer Station cannot accept trash at this time due to health regulations.
The public will be notified when the compactors have been emptied and returned to service.
