State budget committee approves Game and Fish appropriation bill

Arkansas’s Joint Budget Committee has approved an appropriation bill for the state Game and Fish Commission to raise the maximum authorized salary for the commission director to $170,000.

This comes after state lawmakers adjourned this year’s regular session without approving the Game and Fish budget, prompting the need for this week’s special session.

The bill approved by the Budget Committee goes before the full Arkansas Senate today.
