Baxter Co. Quorum Court to meet in regular session Tuesday night

The Baxter County Quorum Court will meet in regular session Tuesday evening at 6 in the 2nd floor courtroom of the Baxter County Courthouse.

Items on the agenda include:

– an ordinance to appropriate fees and reimbursements in the amount of $10,573.99 received in the month of May to the Sheriff’s Office;

– an ordinance to appropriate funds in the amount of $18,552 from the Road and Bridge fund from the sale of a salvaged dump tuck to the Road and Bridge 2024 budget for appropriate expenditures and to purchase a replacement vehicle;

– an ordinance to appropriate grant funds received from the state in the amount of $14,443 for the Cotter-Gassville Rural Fire Protection District to the County Judge’s budget. The funds have been deposited with the County Treasurer and will be distributed to the Cotter-Gassville Rural Fire Protection District;

– an ordinance to appropriate disaster relief funds in the amount of $10,000 received from the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management for disaster relief needs to the Office of Emergency Management;

– an ordinance to re-appropriate funds within the Sheriff’s Office budget;

– an ordinance to allow Baxter County to conduct business with Shannon White, owner of Shannon’s Lawn Care who is the spouse of LeeAnn White from the Road and Bridge department;

– a resolution expressing support for the application for an automated records system grant for the Baxter County & Circuit Clerk’s Office;

– a resolution allowing the County Judge to apply for a grant on behalf of the Clarkridge Volunteer Fire Protection District;

– a resolution to confirm appointments Sandra Nelson and Cindy Blankenship to the Gamaliel Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners;

– a resolution to confirm the appointments of Rudy Dedman and Mike Rees to the Grover Township Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners; and

– a resolution to confirm the re-appointments of Dan Alderman, Billy Settles and Ronald Wagenblast to the Hand Cove Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners.
