The Lake Norfork Fireworks Association is set for its annual display. The Independence Eve Fireworks Show will be held Wednesday evening on the lake.

The fireworks, courtesy of AM Pyrotechnics, will be shot between the bridges on U.S. Highway 62/412 and Arkansas Highway 101. The show is expected to begin between 9:15 and 9:30, and the musical accompaniment will be broadcast on 99.7 The Boot.

Law enforcement from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be on-site to patrol the roads and the water. During Tuesday’s Baxter County Quorum Court meeting, Sheriff John Montgomery said parking will be allowed on the bridges, but spectators are not allowed to shoot fireworks from either bridge.

In addition to sponsorship, the Lake Norfork Fireworks Association also raise funds for the display with an annual sporting event. The Lake Norfork Fireworks Bass Fishing Tournament is normally held in the spring, but this year’s tournament was moved to Oct. 12. For more information, go to lakenorforkfireworks.com.
