Boil water order issued to all customers in Summit Waterworks

A boil water order has been issued for those in the Summit Waterworks.

The Arkansas Department of Health has issued the boil water order for all customers in the Summit Waterworks system due to a main break. This is a precautionary measure because of the possibility of contaminated water as a result of loss in normal system pressure from the water line break.

All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
