Governor Sanders directs flags be half-staff in memory of former state congressman

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has directed the United States flag and the Arkansas flag to fly at half-staff in memory of former congressman Tommy Robinson.

Robinson, who served in the U.S. House from 1985 to 1991, passed away at the age of 82 on July 10th.

The governor declared the following, “Now, therefor, I, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Governor of the State of Arkansas, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the laws of the State of Arkansas, in tribute to the memory of Tommy Robinson and as an expression of public sorrow, do hereby direct that the United States flag and the state flag of Arkansas be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on July 16, 2024, the day of Robinson’s interment. In testomony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Arkansas to be affixed this 15th day of July, in the year of our Lord 2024.”
