When consumers take their vehicles to a gas station to get them filled up, many pay at the pump with a credit or debit card. Unfortunately, there have been occasions over the last few years where skimmers have been placed in the card readers at the pumps by those wanting to get others’ card information.

Many may want to know what a card skimmer may look like, but Lieutenant Mike Day of the Mountain Home Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division says they’re difficult if even possible to spot.

Even though a consumer may not be able to see a skimmer at the pump, Lieutenant Day says there are other signs to watch out for.
