The Mountain Home Police Department is warning the public of another scam. The latest concerns property that is falsely being presented for rent on social media.
Lieutenant Mike Day of the department’s Criminal Investigation Division says a victim made a report on Monday of being scammed, and she was not the first to fall prey.

Lieutenant Day says there’s nothing uncommon about finding items for sale on social media, but he suggests being mindful of anyone asking to be sent money before meeting in person.
