Thanks to a grant of over $11,000 from the state of Arkansas, the Mountain Home School District is purchasing storage cases for each classroom in the high school and junior high for students to put their cellphones in when they come to class. This will be the second year the district has not allowed phones in the classroom. This year, the ban on electronics will also include earbuds and headphones.

Superintendent Allyson Dewey says the grant came about after Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Secretary of Education Jacob Oliva met with a group of school leaders.
