Two area boil water orders have been lifted, and two others remain in effect.

According to the Arkansas Department of Health, the order for the Brunner Hill Water Association in Baxter County is no longer in effect as of Friday morning, and the boil order for the Leslie Water System in Searcy County was lifted Thursday afternoon. Both orders had been issued due to water line breaks.

The boil order for entire Pyatt Waterworks system in Marion County remains in effect. The order was issued Aug. 19 due to a water line break.

The other current boil order is for the East Newton County Water Association’s customers in the area north of Mount Judea along Arkansas Highway 123. The order went into effect Tuesday due to necessary repairs to a fire hydrant.

All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
