The Mountain Home High School golf teams had a successful trip to Melbourne as they were able to sweep Tuesday’s outing at Cooper’s Hawk Golf Course.
The boys’ side went down to the wire as the Bombers’ team total was 228, one stroke better than Melbourne. Greers Ferry West Side finished third at 269, and Tuckerman was fourth at 304.
Mountain Home’s Cody Cormican was the medalist after shooting a 70 and finishing five strokes ahead of Carter Manry of Melbourne. Also for the Bombers, Chace Berwald had a 77, and Jack Coleman finished with an 81. For Yellville-Summit, Hunter Raley led the way with a 91.
Mountain Home’s team total on the girls’ leaderboard was 262. West Side ended up second at 290, Melbourne took third place at 292, and Tuckerman finished fourth at 315.
Abby Edens represented the Lady Bombers as the first runner-up with an 83, one stroke behind the medalist, Annie Rush of Melbourne. Also for Mountain Home, Anna Torres shot an 82, and Ashley Smith had a 92.
