A Yellville man was seriously injured in a semi truck accident early Friday morning in southwest Missouri. Forty-three-year-old Thomas Barnes was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Barnes was traveling on Missouri Route W in Barry County. He was nearly two miles east of Wheaton when he reportedly failed to negotiate a curve. The truck ran off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment.
Barnes’ truck was totaled in the 12:01 a.m. accident.
