Bomber teams place in top ten amongst 1100 runners in Heber Springs

The Mountain Home Bomber Cross Country Junior High and JV squads competed Tuesday in the Josh Park Invitational in Heber Springs and placed in the top ten. The meet hosted 35 teams and more than 1100 runners.

The Junior Bombers took 2nd place with a team finish of 121 points behind Cabot’s 44 points. Oakley Recktenwald took 9th place in the race with a time of 12:13.54.

Brook Bertalotto raced for 23rd for the Junior Lady Bombers with a time of 15:10.15. The team placed 7th overall with 191 points.

The Bombers took 9th overall with 204 points. Tyler Lukac took 36th with a time of 19:15.91 and Reece Lara was right behind in 38th place with a time of 19:24.86.

The Lady Bombers were successful placeing 3rd overall as a team with 126 points. Jamie Chandler led the team with a 12th place finish and a time of 22:30.60.
