A Fort Smith man has been arrested for the rape of a 4-year-old female family member last year in Boone County. Twenty-five-year-old David Rockeugene Coleman is facing a count of rape in the case, a class Y felony, the most serious crime in Arkansas not punishable by the death penalty.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the incident happened in September and the victim was interviewed in October at a child safety center in Arkadelphia where she provided explicit details of the crime.
Coleman is being held on a $50,000 bond.
