MHPD and MHFD look to break tied record Saturday at Charity Ragball game

The third annual Charity Ragball game between the Mountain Home Police Department (MHPD) and the Mountain Home Fire Department (MHFD) will take place Saturday night at 6 at the Mountain Home High School Softball Fields. The departments are tied with a record of 1-1 and each year has been decided by one run.Tommy Feliccia from the MHFD says the event came from the desire to give back to the community the way the community supports both departments.

This year, two different charities will be supported through donations acquired from the game.

Kevin Rindack from the MHFD says the chartity they have selected is Project Firebuddies.

Zach Ables, a Cpl. at the MHPD, says they have selected the Salvation Army in Mountain Home.

Over the past two years, the event has raised over $10,000.

Ables recommends arriving early for the best parking spots.

Nomes 2 Bros. Tacos, Ozark Barbecue and Poppy’s Polar Ice will be on site for concessions. The trucks will make a donation at the end of the game based on sales they earn during the game.

Admission is free and donations will be accepted at the gate.
