LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) – Gun laws continue to be a priority among Arkansas lawmakers.
During Monday’s Arkansas Legislative Council-Game & Fish/State Police committee meeting, lawmakers focused on gun laws following a year-long study.
According to KARK-TV in Little Rock, lawmakers discussed removing the word “enhanced” when referring to the state’s concealed carry license.
They also discussed the difference between state and federal laws regarding concealed carry. According to federal law, one must 21 years of age to conceal carry. In Arkansas, the minimum age is 18.
The committee will continue its discussion when it meets on Oct. 3 before handing its recommendations to the Arkansas Legislative Council.
