Dr. Souder joins practice of Dr. McConnell and Dr. Rauls

A Texas based orthopedic surgeon is now calling the Twin Lakes area home and will be in practice at Twin Lakes Orthopeadics and Sports Medicine and partnering with Baxter Health. Dr. Nicholas “Nick” Souder is joining the private practice of Dr. Jason McConnell and Dr. Russ Rauls.Drawing from his recent experience as an orthopeadic surgeon at Childress Regional Medical Center in Childress, Texas where he implemented a rapid recovery joint program to help improve recovery for patients after joint replacements, Dr. Souder aims to use his knowledge to contribute to the growing Orthopeadics and sports medicine fields in Mountain Home.

Dr. Souder says that the unique offerings of a small town with the opportunities of a larger center made the move an easy choice for him, his wife and three children.

Dr. Rauls and Dr. Souder both rotated as 4th year medical students in Oklahoma City over 20 years ago which prompted Dr. Rauls to recall him when he and Dr. McConnell were scouting for a new partner for the practice.

Dr. McConnell says after the initial phone conversation he was convinced he had found a perfect fit for the practice in Dr. Souder.
