Bombers Volleyball sees success in 5A East outing with Searcy

In an outing against Searcy and Joneboro MacArthur Thursday night the Mountain Home Volleyball teams saw success in 5A-East action.The evening started rocky for the 7th grade team as they lost in 3 sets. The junior high junior varsity team was quick to make up ground defeating MacArthur in 2 sets with scores 25-12 and 25-17. Landry Litty had 5 kills, Vanessa Shimmel had 3 kills, and Karly Goes posted 5 aces and 9 assists.

The junior high varsity team kept up the momentum for the Bombers winning in 2 set with scores of 27-25 and 25-10. Eliana Pepin had 11 kills 5 digs 2 aces, Shayn Wickersham had 15 digs and Violet Daugherty had 20 assists 6 digs. Overall record for the team is 9-3 with a conference record of 7-1.

The Bombers cleaned up Searcy in junior varsity action with two sets scoring 25-16 and 25-12. Deanna Human had 7 kills, 2 blocks, 5 aces, Aleigh Lucas had 5 kills and Kori Scroggins had 4 digs, 3 aces.

The evening wrapped with varsity team putting the finishing touches on Searcy scoring over 3 sets 25-10, 25-6, and 25-17. Anna McCarn had 6 kills, 4 aces, 4 digs, Cara Jackson had 8 assists, 4 digs and Daelyn Harper had 5 kills, 4 blocks

The Bombers return to play on Monday facing Marion. The evening will be themed “Pink Out Dig for the Cure”.
