
The Mountain Home volleyball program had a successful night with junior high teams at home and high school teams on the road at West Memphis.Starting the evening off at the Hangar the 7th grade team welcomed Jonesboro Annie Camp and tied in two sets with scores of 25-13 and 16-25. The junior high junior varsity lost in two sets against the visitors with final scores of 25-13 and 17-25. Avery Carson had 8 assists, Allison Free had 2 assists, 3 aces, 5 digs and Zoey Throckmorton posted 12 digs. Things turned around for the Bombers when the junior high varsity team took to the court and won their match with scores of 19-25, 25-16, and 15-9. Violet Daugherty had 18 assists 8 digs and Fiona Everett posted 10 digs 1 ace. Overall record for the JH varsity team stands at 13-4 with a conference record 9-1.
The Bombers junior varsity team won their match against the Blue Devils on the road with set scores of 2-0. It took all 5 sets but Mountain Home’s varsity team took the win over West Memphis in the Devil Dome winning the first two sets, slipping in the proceeding two sets and then rallying to win in the final set. Final scores where 26-24, 25-22, 19-25, 23-25 and 15-6. Anna McCarn had 22 kills, 15 block, 6 digs, Cara Jackson had 27 assists 10 digs and Lauren Rauls posted 19 digs.
