Izard County schools receive Red Ribbon grant from Arkansas Sheriff’s Association

Izard County Sheriff Charley Melton recently presented a $1000 check to the Calico Rock and Izard County school districts from the Arkansas Sheriff’s Association (ASA).The money came from a grant both schools applied for through the ASA for Red Ribbon Week. The Red Ribbon Campaign is the largest drug abuse prevention campaign in the United States. Both schools will use the funds to further education about drug abuse for students.
