MH splits 2 Monday football games with Batesville

Mountain Home had mixed results on the gridiron as two of its football teams hosted Batesville on Monday.

The high school junior varsity game was one-sided as the J.V. Bombers shut out the J.V. Pioneers 30-0. Gaigle Wilson threw three touchdown passes including a 48-yarder to Will Rauls and 70 and 22 yards to Seth Lara. Wilson also connected with Lara and Trae Holliday on a pair of two-point conversions, and Naite Schick converted a two-pointer on a run. Defensively, Jake Thomas had a pick-six, Kanye Worman also had an interception. Mountain Home improves to 5-1 on the season, and they’ll travel to Jonesboro next week.

Mountain Home did not fare as well in the seventh grade contest. The Seventh Grade Bombers were edged out by Batesville 20-18.
