Baxter Health has welcomed cardiologist Zaid Alirhayim to the medical staff and to Baxter Health Cardiovascular Clinic. Dr. Alirhayim is now practicing alongside Dr. Michael Camp, Dr. Akihiro Kobayashi, Dr. Jamon Pruitt, Dr. Patrick Tobbia, Dr. Otis Warr IV and nurse practitioners Denise Beeson, Leah Fountain and Debra Wilhite.
Dr. Alirhayim specializes in the care of patients with valvular, structural, complex and high-risk coronary artery disease. He most recently completed a structural heart disease fellowship at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. He has also served as the cardiac cath lab director and an interventional cardiologist at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Alirhayim completed a subspecialty fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City and a cardiology fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. His training also includes an internal medicine residency at the Henry Ford Health System/Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. Dr. Alirhayim earned both his Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science in medicine and medical sciences from the Arabian Gulf University College of Medicine and Medical Sciences in Manama, Bahrain.
Dr. Alirhayim is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology subspecialties. He also holds certifications in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular CT and hypertension.
