Tuesday volleyball results include MH winning 1 of 4 matches with Valley View

Mountain Home came away with one win in four volleyball matches at home Tuesday against Valley View.
The high school match ended with the Lady Bombers falling in four sets as the Lady Blazers posted scores of 25-20, 25-22, 22-25 and 25-22. Daelyn Harper led Mountain Home with 14 kills and 13 blocks; Anna McCarn had 11 kills, eight digs and four blocks; Annyston Crooker recorded nine kills and two blocks; Aspen Vostatek added seven kills; Loreali Green finished with four kills; Cara Jackson had three kills, 25 assists, 18 digs and four blocks; Addison Martz recorded 34 digs; Micayla Magis finished with 20 digs and 17 assists; Lauren Rauls ended up with 15 digs; and Karleigh Drewry chipped in 13 digs.
Mountain Home did not fare any better in the junior high varsity match as Valley View won in straight sets with scores of 25-14 and 25-22. The Junior Lady Bombers were led by Maycie Carlson with four kills and three aces, Dawson Harper had three kills and eight digs, Eliana Pepin recorded three kills and six digs, Landry Litty added three kills, Violet Daugherty dished out 15 assists, Shayn Wickersham finished with 13 digs, and Fiona Everett ended up with six digs.
Mountain Home also lost the junior high junior varsity match to Valley View with scores of 25-11 and 26-24. Layla Uchtman led the Junior J.V. Lady Bombers with six kills, Litty had five kills and 13 digs, Zoey Throckmorton had 11 digs, Kynlee Reed recorded 10 digs, Avery Carson dished out seven assists, and Karly Goes chipped in five assists.
Mountain Home’s lone win came in the seventh grade match. The Seventh Grade Lady Bombers defeated Valley View by scores of 25-19 and 25-17.

In other high school volleyball, the semifinals of the 2A-2 District Tournament were held Tuesday at the Ray Moore Gymnasium in Marshall.
Cotter was able to advance to Thursday’s championship match. The Lady Warriors defeated Izard County in straight sets with scores of 25-22, 25-21 and 25-22.
Marshall will be Cotter’s opponent for the title. The host and top-seeded Lady Bobcats also won in straight sets as they beat Cedar Ridge 25-8, 25-13 and 25-7.

The Panther Palace in Bergman was the site for the semifinals of the 3A-2 District Tournament.
Flippin was sent to Thursday’s third place match after getting beat in four sets. Salem defeated the Lady Bobcats with scores of 25-22, 15-25, 25-16 and 25-22.
Bergman was defeated in the first semifinal of the evening in straight sets. Top-seeded Valley Springs topped the host Lady Panthers 25-23, 25-22 and 26-24.
