Mountain Home annual fall cleanup starts Monday

The annual Mountain Home fall clean-up will be held the week of Oct. 21 through 25.

The fall clean-up, put on by Methvin Sanitation and Waste Connections, is for large items only, and only those within the city limits of Mountain Home may participate.

Items need to be placed curbside by 6 a.m. the morning of regular trash pick-up days beginning Monday.

Accepted items include furniture; Mattress and Box Springs; freon-free appliances; toys; push/self-propelled lawn mowers without oil or gas; tools; bagged clothes; metals less than 4ft in length and under 50lbs; carpet less than 4ft in length, rolled up and tied; fencing less than 4ft in length; and lumber less than 4ft in length.

Items not accepted include electronics, yard waste, tires, paint, vehicle batteries, and construction debris.
