The Cotter Public Schools Board of Education met Thursday night at 7 with all members present.
Superintendent Jayme Jones and Misty Haynes presented the Annual Report to the Public, highlighting the district’s achievements and goals. Additionally, the Board approved the Annual Equity Compliance Report, ensuring adherence to equity standards within the district.
Jones recommended holding the Annual School Election on May 13, 2025, a proposal that received unanimous approval from the Board.
In personnel matters, the Board approved several staff recommendations as presented in the Personnel Report. Following requirements from Act 731 of 2023, the Board also considered transfer applications individually. The Board approved two transfer applications from the Flippin School District and one from the Mountain Home School District into the Cotter School District.
As of the latest report, the total student enrollment stands at 699, with 375 in elementary and 324 in high school.
