Two members of the Mountain Home High School boys’ tennis team had a successful opening day in the Overall State Tournament Monday at Burns Park in North Little Rock. Pierce Blackmon and Finley Chafin won their first match in the doubles bracket as they topped Max Hill and Elijah Schumann of Providence Academy in straight sets. Blackmon and Chafin will continue in Tuesday’s semifinals as they meet a team from Little Rock Central at 9.
