A Mountain Home child was able to pick up his second straight win in the Northwest Arkansas Local Tour of the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation on Sunday. Charlie Barton took the seven-year-old boys’ division at The Creeks Golf and RV Resort in Cave Springs.
Barton finished the nine-hole event tied at the top of the leaderboard with Camden Roberts of Springdale after both shot a 55. The two went to Hole 10 where Barton defeated Roberts in a playoff.
Barton, a first grade student at Nelson-Wilks-Herron Elementary School and a member of Big Creek Country Club, currently leads the season point standings with two events remaining on the tour.
