Monday was a busy day for ballots to be cast in the Twin Lakes Area as the early voting period for the upcoming general election got underway.
Nearly 5% of registered voters in Baxter County went to First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home. A total of 1,652 county residents cast their ballots on the first day.
In Marion County, there were 523 that took part in early voting at the fairgrounds in Summit.
