Tuesday will be a busy day for high school volleyball, and it includes Mountain Home going back on the road. The Lady Bombers are set for a 5A-East outing with Marion. The junior varsity match begins at 4:30 followed by the varsity match.
Regional tournament play will get underway for the smaller schools in Arkansas.
Izard County will host the Class 2A East Regional Tournament at the Cougar Den in Brockwell. Marshall and Barton get underway at 1, Izard County meets Marianna at 3, and Cotter faces Palestine-Wheatley.
Four area teams will be in Hoxie for the Class 3A East Regional Tournament. Bergman takes on Harrisburg at 1, Salem plays Manila at 3, Valley Springs will be paired with the host Lady Mustangs at 5, and Flippin meets Crowley’s Ridge Academy at 7.
The postseason gets underway in Missouri with the start of district play.
Two area teams will go to Eminence for the start of the Class 1, District 7 Tournament. Bakersfield and Couch will begin at 5, and Dora faces Summersville at 6:15.
Gainesville will be at Fordland for its opener in the Class 2, District 9 Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs take on Thayer at 7.
West Plains will compete in its first match in the Class 4, District 1 Tournament at Farmington. The top-seeded Lady Zizzers play North County at 7.
Two area teams will begin the Class 3, District 11 Tournament at Houston. Forsyth will be matched up with the host Lady Tigers at 5, and Ava faces Willow Springs at 6.
Branson will take part in the opening match of the Class 5, District 6 Tournament at Willard. The Lady Pirates take on top-seeded Ozark at 5.
