Friday morning ended up with Mountain Home’s first rainfall of October. At KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting station for the National Weather Service in Mountain Home, .13 of an inch were recorded.
Since weather information is recorded at 7 each morning for the previous 24-hour period, the rainfall will be for Oct. 26. The last rainfall at the station was .62 of an inch on Sept. 28.
The rain will prevent this month from being the driest October on record, but the second driest remains a possibility. The driest October was in 1965 when .04 of an inch were measured for the month.
