A Norfork man has been arrested after fighting with his son, pointing a gun at both his wife and son and threatening to kill his wife and burn down a house she had gone to stay at for the night and threatening to kill any law enforcement that arrived. Facing multiple charges for the incidents is 42-year-old Justin Robert Foster.
According to reports from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, the first incident happened early Tuesday morning when Foster’s wife had packed her belongings and gone to a relative’s house which upset Foster. He then went to the relative’s house and broke all of the windows on her car which the victim provided video proof of.
When deputies arrived, Foster was texting the victim, saying he was going to kill her and the relative and burn down the house. Foster then called and said he was going to kill her and the relative and all of the police that were at the scene and burn the house down. The deputies heard the entire phone call.
The victim has an active order of protection against Foster.
The victim and the relative went to a different house to spend the night.
Later in the day Tuesday, Foster showed up at his wife’s residence. According to witness statements, he allegedly grabbed her by the hair while she was holding her grandchild. She was able to hand the grandchild off and Foster started chasing her.
The couple’s 17-year-old son tried to intervene and Foster grabbed him and started choking him. Deputies noted in their incident report he had red marks on his neck.
Foster then got a gun and pointed it at both victims and chased the 17-year-old down the road.
Foster is facing two counts each of aggravated assault on a family or household member and terroristic threatening, and one count each of criminal mischief, third degree domestic battery, endangering the welfare of a minor and violation of a protection order. He is being held without bond at this time after having his bond revoked from a previous arrest.
Foster has two open cases in Baxter County Circuit Court. His charges include first degree battery, terroristic threatening, theft of property, breaking or entering and harassment.
