8th Annual Red Kettle Cookoff Set for Friday

The Salvation Army’s 8th annual Red Kettle Cookoff will kickoff Friday from 11-1 with tastings from 14 area restaurants and businesses. To accommodate the growing popularity of the event it will be hosted this year at Real Life Church in Mountain Home.The event marks the kickoff of the Red Kettle season, a key fundraising initiative for the Salvation Army. Proceeds from the cookoff and the Red Kettle campaign go to support Salvation Army programs and services throughout the year.

Entry is $10 and tasters can vote for their favorite group by voting with additional cash donations. Favorites such as Letty’s, Tasty Greens to Go, Twin Lakes Radio, Bookworms Cafe, Baxter County Sheriff’s office, Fred’s Fish House, Patty Kotlicky, Brick Oven Pizza, Just Say Cheese, The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas, Total Physical Therapy, Rapps Barren, Jamie’s and Heavenly Grounds will be offering their best food offerings.

KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot will be broadcasting live with $800 in the Treasure Chest for participants to play to win. Tickets can be purchased at KTLO, Anstaff Bank, Arvest Bank, First Community Bank or at the door.

Real Life Church is located at 1326 Rossi Road in Mountain Home.
