While some area roads have reopened after the rainwater has receded, other remain impassible due to flooding.
According to Baxter County Road and Bridge Superintendent Larry Carter, most of the county’s roads are once again open to through traffic. At last update, Carter says Moccasin Creek Road was impassible, and he wasn’t certain if there was a new update.
Fulton County has reopened some of its roads while others remain closed. A spokesperson from the Fulton County Office of Emergency Management says they are bracing for the roads to be covered again with more rainfall in the forecast.
Several road closures were announced in Ozark County at 8:30 Monday morning. According to Sheriff Cass Martin, all of those roads remained closed as of 3:45 in the afternoon.
