Baxter Health Heart and Vascular Clinic has announced the addition of Blake Throne, APRN, a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Throne joins an experienced team of providers, including Dr. Nestor Arita, Dr. F. Michael Bauer, Dr. Heath J. Broussard, Dr. James Munns, Dr. Kent Nachtigal, Dr. Natalie Ostro, and nurse practitioners Kathleen Prinner and Jeanne Marotta.
Throne brings a diverse background in healthcare, joining Baxter Health from Hospice of the Ozarks, where he served as a nurse at the Hospice House and performed assessments as a nurse practitioner. His previous experience also includes roles in the Emergency Department, Primary Care, ICU, and Cardiac Telemetry.
A Texas native, Throne earned his Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas Christian University.
Throne, his wife of 17 years, Jaclyn, and their four daughters reside on a hobby farm with sheep, goats, chickens, Kune Kune pigs, and rabbits. His therapy dog, Gus, is a familiar presence at the Hospice House, providing comfort to patients.
