The National Park Service (NPS) is accepting proposals for 12 concession contracts to operate canoe and kayak rentals, along with transportation (shuttle) services, at Buffalo National River. The opportunity was announced in a Prospectus issued on Nov. 7, 2024.

The Prospectus details the business conditions and requirements under which the NPS will award the Concession Contracts. Ten of the 12 contracts are designated with Preferred Offeror status, as stipulated under 36 C.F.R. Part 51. A formal site visit will not be conducted; instead, potential offerors are encouraged to independently visit Buffalo National River to better understand the services and environment.

Written questions about the solicitation must be submitted by email to Kelly Kager, NPS Commercial Services Management Specialist, at kelly_kager@nps.gov by 4 on Dec. 9. Responses will be posted publicly.

Interested parties must notify Kager by Jan. 14, 2025, if they plan to submit a proposal, as proposals will not be accepted from entities that fail to submit their intent to apply by this deadline. For future updates, potential offerors are advised to send contact information to Kager for placement on a mailing list.

Final proposals must be submitted by 4 on Feb. 11, 2025, to the NPS office at Interior Regions 3, 4, 5, 601 Riverfront Drive, Omaha, Nebraska, Attention: Concessions Management Specialist Kelly Kager, as outlined in the Prospectus.
