‘Whispers’ is described as ‘A period paranormal drama’ that is set in 1858 Arkansas, where 3 strangers’ lives intersect when a presence pulls two of them to a mysterious inn as they each run from dark secrets. Shooting for the film occurred during the spring of this year with many familiar places used as locations including Mountain Village 1890 in Bull Shoals, The Fred Berry Crooked Creek Nature Center and Pioneer Village in Searcy.
Genia Scarberry, Event Venue Producer for Mountain Village 1890, tells KILO News that having their historical site come to life on the silver screen has been a highlight for the popular tourist site.

The independent film features actors who have performed in television and movies with one actor also having played a role in the popular Jason themed horror films. Scarberry says her staff was surprised when the actor made a dramatic showing of his past character.

The screening will take place in the Gaston’s Conference Hall with a showing at noon and 4 in the afternoon. $5 is requested as a donation at the door with food and drinks available to purchase in the restaurant. The film is rated PG-13 and 100 seats are available for each presentation. Gaston’s is located at 1777 River Road in Lakeview.
