A Mountain Home man has been arrested for pointing a gun at the driver and a passenger of a vehicle during a road rage incident in Fulton County last week. Being held in the Fulton County Detention Center is 21-year-old Todd James Richard Chapman.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call was made about a man pointing a gun at the caller during a road rage incident as the vehicles were headed towards Salem.
A Salem city officer made a traffic stop on both vehicles just west of the city limits and was joined by at Arkansas State Police Trooper. They removed Chapman from his vehicle and questioned the three occupants of the other vehicle. All three said they were involved in a road rage incident with the car Chapman was a passenger in after being cut off. They said Chapman pointed a gun at the man an
d woman in the car and the gun had a green laser on it. When officers searched the vehicle Chapman was in, they found a handgun in the glove box with a green laser attached to the front rail.
Chapman is facing a felony charge of aggravated assault. His bond is set at $30,000.
