$40,000 stolen during ATM robbery; Jonesboro police investigating

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Police are investigating after they said two suspects stole thousands of dollars in cash from an ATM.

According to an incident report, at 9:09 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, Jonesboro Police Officer Calvin Newman arrived at the Southern Bancorp of East Highland Drive for a report of an overnight robbery.

Upon arrival, the complainant told Newman that two men broke into the ATM and stole all the money inside.

The report stated the ATM computer was hacked and the suspects stole $40,000 in cash.

If caught, the suspects face several charges, including breaking or entering, theft of $25,000 or more, and first-degree criminal mischief.
