The Mountain Home City Council approved four members to the Advertising and Promotion Commission during its meeting Thursday night.

The council approved the four nominees selected by the Advertising and Promotion (A&P) Commission. One of the nominees, Pyong Kuk An, owner of Days Inn, is currently on the commission. Newly approved members are Bryan Littleton, owner of Little B’s Grill; Sami Siddiqui, owner of Quality Inn; and Clay Talley, who owns short term rentals in the Twin Lakes Area.

The A&P Commission is made up of the four members representing the tourism industry along with one at large member and two council members. Russell Tucker is the at large member and Bob Van Haaren and Susan Stockton are the council members serving on the commission.

The only other item of business the council had in their 20 minute session was approving the rezoning of an area of land on State Highway 5 north from Residential R-1 to Commercial C-2. The land, located across the street from Dewey & Sons Plumbing, was rezoned so the owner can put up a newer style of billboards.
