The Baxter County Conservation District is offering a $500 scholarship to a local high school student as part of a statewide education program. The scholarship winner will also have the opportunity to compete at both the area and state levels.
The contest is open to Baxter County residents who are high school sophomores, juniors, or seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicants must plan to attend college and pursue a conservation-related field of study.
Entries are due by Feb. 7, 2025, and should be submitted to the Baxter County Conservation District, 406 W. Wade Ave., Suite 2, Mountain Home.
Entry forms and contest rules are available through high school counselors, 4-H leaders, FBLA and FFA sponsors, scout leaders, and County Extension Agents. Forms can also be picked up at the Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County or the Cooperative Extension Service Office.
