Mountain Home’s junior high basketball teams split their games on Friday with Harrison.
The boys’ teams were able to pick up a sweep in front of the home crowd.
The Junior Bombers needed overtime in the freshman game, but they were able to pick up their first win as they beat the Junior Goblins 58-52. Mountain Home was led by Max Bryant with 24 points, and Tanner Alkire chipped in 12. The Junior Bombers improve to 1-4 on the season.
Mountain Home was also able to get past Harrison 40-37 in the eighth grade contest. Finley Maxey was the Eighth Grade Bombers’ leading scorer with 22 points. Mountain Home is now 1-2 on the year.
The evening began with Mountain Home’s seventh graders breezing past Harrison 45-25.
Mountain Home’s junior high girls’ squads were not as fortunate as they were swept at Harrison. The freshman game ended with the Junior Lady Bombers losing to the Junior Lady Goblins 56-33. Mountain Home also struggled in the eighth grade contest as they lost to Harrison 52-2. The night started with Mountain Home falling to Harrison 32-29 in the seventh grade game.
