MHHS boys hit 15 3s in losing effort at Bentonville West

The Mountain Home High School boys’ basketball team came up just short in Friday’s game at Centerton. The Bombers suffered a 67-63 defeat at the hands of Bentonville West.

Mountain Home picked up where they left off when it came to its shooting from the arc as they hit 15 three-pointers in the game. That helped the Bombers build a double digit lead on the Wolverines going into halftime. Bentonville West started coming back as they outscored Mountain Home 21-14, and their deficit was cut to four at the end of the third quarter. The Wolverines went on top in the final period and held off the Bombers for the four-point win.

Bentonville West improves to 3-1 on the season. Mountain Home falls to 2-2, and they’ll be in Paragould on Monday for an outing with Greene County Tech.
