High school basketball makes up much of the local Saturday schedule and includes the final day of the Arvest Bank Tournament at Flippin. The consolation championship games will start the day as Yellville-Summit’s girls meet Kingston at 10, and the Rural Special boys face Lead Hill at 11:30. Both of Flippin’s teams will play for the championship as the girls take on Marshall at 1, and the boys play Yellville-Summit at 2:30.
Holiday Hoopsgiving will continue at the Panther Palace in Bergman. In varsity boys’ action, Melbourne and Harrison tip off at noon, and Valley Springs will be paired with LISA Academy North at 3:30. On the girls’ side, Melbourne meets Dumas at 1:20, and Bergman faces Sheridan at 4:50. A junior varsity boys’ game between Bergman and Valley Springs is scheduled for 2:40.
Two area teams will compete on the final day of the First Service Bank Classic in Clinton. Harrison’s girls take on the host Lady Yellowjackets for third place at 12:30, and the Jasper boys play Wonderview for fifth place at 1:45.
