MHHS girls’ wrestling team finishes 7th in Lady Wildcat Invitational

The Mountain Home High School girls’ wrestling team went to Springdale on Saturday and competed in the Lady Wildcat Invitational hosted by Har-Ber. The Lady Bombers, with a split squad, were able to finish seventh out of 13 teams, with nine from Class 6A.

Mountain Home had three medalists in the varsity competition. Adisson Pulsipher finished second in the 105-pound division, Bailee Schaffner was third in the 100, and Abby Swartz ended up third in the 145. In addition, Jurzie Guiltner went 2-2 in the 115, Ellie Miller finished 3-2 in the 120, Brooklyn Stuteville was 2-2 in the 130, and Shanna Lynch Woodard ended up 2-2 in the 140.

Mountain Home also had competitors on the junior varsity side. Abry Campos went 4-0 to win the heavyweight division, Elianna Pepin went unbeaten to win the 145, Charissa Bennett finished second in the 135, and Amiee-Lynn Fritzal was third in the 130.

The Lady Bombers will head to Maumelle on Dec. 3 to meet the Lady Hornets and Cedar Ridge.
