Operation Christmas Child is collecting donations of shoeboxes filled with gifts to send to children around the world. Drop off for boxes will be accepted at East Side Baptist Church from nine to noon on Monday.
Operation Christmas Child recommends filling the shoe boxes with an item that will get the child excited, such as soccer balls, stuffed animals, baby dolls, etc., personal care items and school supplies.
Shari Alexander, the Operation Christmas Child Area Coordinator for North Central Arkansas, encourages participants to make the boxes fun, full and personalized with photos or notes.
