A Flippin woman who is reported to have hit her boyfriend with a car during an argument appeared during a session of Baxter County Court on November 18 and pled not guilty to charges stemming from the incident.

Twenty-one-year-old Kyleigh Jocelyn Brown is charged with aggravated assault, and third-degree battery.

According to the probable cause affidavit from the Lakeview Police, Brown and the victim were arguing as they were driving.

Brown is alleged to have stopped the car and the victim got out. As he started walking away, he told police Brown hit him with the vehicle.

The responding officer reported there was a large dent in the hood of the car and it appeared that was where the victim landed following being hit by the vehicle Brown was driving.

The victim suffered two broken ankles and several cuts and bruises, according to the police report.

The victim said the argument continued at his residence in Lakeview. He alleged Brown began hitting him in the face at which time the victim’s mother attempted to get Brown away from her son.

Officers were told that once the mother joined the fray, Brown started hitting the victim’s mother.

The responding officer said when he arrived at a residence along Frizzell Drive, there were a number of people in front of the residence arguing with each other.

At the request of the defense, Brown’s bond was cut from $25,000 to $15,000. A condition of her bond is that she does not contact the victim in the case.

She will be represented an attorney from the Public Defender’s Office.
