Gaston’s White River Resort is gearing up for its highly anticipated annual Thanksgiving buffet, with every table fully booked for Thursday’s feast. The popular event is expected to draw approximately 800 guests, continuing the long-standing tradition of holiday hospitality along the banks of the White River.Preparations for the buffet began nearly a month ago, according to Bravo Dwyer, the kitchen manager for Gaston’s. Dwyer outlined to KTLO News the impressive menu, which will feature 30 to 35 turkeys, nine hams, 20 New York strip steaks, 24 pumpkin pies, and a mountain of side dishes, including 1,000 freshly baked rolls and 30 pounds of butter.

In an off air interview Dwyer spoke off the amount of planning pulling off an event of this size takes. From sourcing ingredients to managing the kitchen staff, every detail at Gaston’s is perfected to offer guests a memorable experience.

To accommodate the influx of diners, Gaston’s will deploy a dedicated team of approximately 40 employees, evenly split between front-of-house wait staff and kitchen personnel. After the final plates are cleared, staff members will have the chance to take home any leftovers, a perk for those working through the holiday.

Gaston’s Thanksgiving buffet has become a hallmark event for the resort, drawing locals and out-of-town visitors alike. The sold-out status underscores the enduring popularity of the resort, which has built a reputation for its scenic views, warm hospitality, and culinary offerings.
