Basketball makes up the local Monday schedule and includes three of Mountain Home’s junior high teams on the home floor as they welcome Nettleton to the Twin Lakes Area. The eighth grade boys’ game tips off at 4:00 followed by both freshman contests.
Elsewhere on the junior high level, Yellville-Summit hosts Harrison, and Valley Springs entertains Elkins.
A few area high school boys’ teams will be compete on the first night of the 64th-annual Forsyth Tournament. Hollister faces the host Panthers at 6, and Gainesville takes on Lebanon at 7:30.
The Mountain View High School girls begin tournament play as they have the opening game of the V-Town Showdown in Vilonia. The Lady Yellowjackets meet Bryant at 4.
In other high school basketball, Norfork is home against Melbourne, Flippin travels to Lead Hill, Calico Rock hosts Salem for three boys’ games, and Mammoth Spring’s boys entertain Couch.
