The Salem High School girls’ basketball team was able to dominate its first game in the Williams Baptist University High School Tournament Wednesday at Walnut Ridge. The top-seeded Lady Greyhounds invoked the mercy rule as they routed Walnut Ridge 53-17. Montana Franks led Salem with 12 points, and Hadley Reed added 11. The Lady Greyhounds remain undefeated in five games on the season.
Mountain View’s girls suffered their second loss in the VTown Showdown at Vilonia. The Lady Yellowjackets fell to Hot Springs Lakeside 61-53. Mountain View will compete for seventh place in the tournament on Saturday.
